Crafting

For as long as I can remember, I have been a creative person. As a child I made doll houses out of shoeboxes, farms from papier mache, and dresses from offcuts of fabric. As an adult, I continued to experiment with papier mache, (there’s an awesome Tutankhamun mask in the loft), but mostly I focused on fabrics and making patchwork quilts and cushions. I have predominantly quilted by hand, I’m not a huge fan of quilting by machine, probably because I feel that I have more control when I’m working by hand. However, I do like the speed of machine quilting and am practicing…honest.

These crafting blogs are a trip down memory lane, as well as (hopefully) examples of my current work (if I ever finish one).
